Delete Your Guardian Account

Guardian™ is provided by Ethical Installations Pty Ltd. This page explains how to delete your Guardian™ account and what happens to your data. You do not need to sign in to read this page or to start a deletion request.

Delete your account in the app

1Open the Guardian™ app and sign in to your account.
2Open the Control Centre, then choose Settings (Profile & Account).
3Scroll to the bottom and tap “Delete my account”.
4Type DELETE in the confirmation field, then confirm.

Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone. You will be signed out and lose access to your contacts, check-ins and safety history.

If you can no longer access the Guardian™ app, send us a deletion request using the form below. We action verified requests within 30 days and confirm by email. No sign-in is required.

We may ask you to verify that you own the account (for example by replying from the account email address) before we delete it, so that nobody else can delete your account.

What is deleted

Your Guardian™ account record — your name, email address, sign-in credentials and account preferences.
Your Emergency Contacts — contact names, email addresses and phone numbers are removed or anonymised.
Your Guardian Circle contacts — contact names, email addresses and phone numbers are removed or anonymised.
Your live location shares — real-time location sharing records are deleted.
Access to your Guardian™ account and all associated app features.

What may be retained, and why

We keep as little as possible. The limited information below may be retained only where the law, security or a regulatory obligation requires it, and only for as long as that requirement applies.

Anonymised safety and incident records

Records relating to a safety event (for example a missed check-in or an emergency incident) may be kept in an anonymised form with no personal identifiers. Basis: safety, security and audit obligations, and to demonstrate that our safety systems operated correctly.

Financial and transaction records

Subscription and payment records are held by our payment providers (for example Stripe, Apple or Google) and may be retained where tax, accounting or consumer-protection law requires it. Basis: legal and regulatory obligations. Deleting your Guardian™ account does not automatically cancel a subscription purchased through an app store or payment provider — cancel it in that store or provider.

Records needed to resolve an open dispute or legal matter

Where a request, complaint, legal claim or regulatory investigation is open, the minimum information needed may be kept until it is resolved. Basis: legal obligation and the establishment or defence of legal claims.

Deleting your Guardian™ account removes your account and personal data. It does not cancel a subscription purchased through an app store or payment provider — cancel that in the relevant store or provider.
